Layouts, Sale Annoucement, New Products, and FREEBIE

Wow, so much to cover again today! Well, I had a toddler free day again today. My last one of the summer. Gianni spent all day with Grandma and Grandpa. I got a lot done around the house plus a new product finished and still had time left over to spend with my hubbie. It's nice to have some quiet adult time once in a while. We probably won't have the again for a while.

Okay, so on with the things I need to share with you! First, all the designers at Tina Williams Designs are having a 40% off sale August 29th-September 5th. It's a great time to stock up on all those goodies you've been eyeing! Even my new releases are on sale.

You can visit my store at Tina Williams Designs here.

I have several new products. First, there is an add-on to my new Froggy kit.

The add-on is Froggy's Growth Chart. Included in this add-on, that coordinates with Froggy's Un-frog-ettable Kit, are 4 background papers, 1 frog growth chart, 2 word arts, 25 embroidered word art dates from birth to two years, 3 polaroid frames, 2 arrows, 1 tag, and 3 overlays to create your own check-up cards to document height, weight, and comments about growth. You can pick it up for 40% off tomorrow at TWD.

I also have a new frame set that I hope will be up at TWD tomorrow. If not it's available now at KKD. It's a set of vintage quilt frames. I dug deep into my stash of quilt scraps to create these great little frames.

Here's a preview...

You can get them now at KKD.

Everything at KKD is also 40% off :)

I had a chance to do some layouts last night for the CTs I'm one. The first is one for Tina Williams' CT. I used her amazing kit Grandpa's Toolshed. It's a picture of my father for them mid-1940s. The kit was just perfect for this heritage layout. You can get the kit here.

The other layout is for Alice Koh's CT. I've been slowly trying to complete my wedding album. I know have three layouts done...lol. Here's the latest it's done using Alice's Gold Eleganza Combo Kit.

You can get Alice's Kit at Scrapbook-Elements.

Now finally the freebie! I have a little sample from the new frame set.

You can get the freebie here. And don't forget to get the entire set at KKD.

Uninspired Week. In need of inspiration.

I just looked at the blog and realized I haven't posted in a whole week! That just goes to show what an uninspiring week it has been. I have done very little designing or scrapping. I don't know if I've got a little case of the end of summer blues or what. I started on a new kit last night, but I'm going to just toss it all in the digital recycling bin. It just isn't happening. So here I am looking for a little help.

What kind of kits are you all in search of? I need some ideas and would love some input from you. I know I need a little incentive, so if you have ideas I'd love to hear them. You can either put the in the comment box or email them to me at karla@starband.net.

Thanks!

50% off Sale! TWD Grab Bags, and layouts

August goes by so fast. For me it's the countdown to going back to work the day after Labor Day, so I know that has a lot to do with why August always flies. Our county fair is this week, and that always marks the true beginning of the end for me. I just like all those little kids out their dreading the end of summer vacation. Don't get me wrong! I love my job, but I know I could love being a full-time SAHM just as much. Oh well, maybe in another lifetime.

My goal this week was to get caught up on some layouts. I've only gotten a few done. It didn't help that I went to bed at 8:30 last night. I was wiped from the fair I guess. Here's what I have gotten done this week.

Another layout for John's family album...

A layout of pics from our trip to the baseball game last week. This took a long time but I love how it came out.

The last one is the first in a series I plan on doing. We just started the process of infertility treatments to have another child. I want to document our progress in layouts this time around.

You can view all the credits for these layouts in my DST gallery found here.

All the designers at Tina William's Designs have $2.00 grab bags this weekend. I've seen the previews and they're cute! The colors of our grab bags all coordinate too, so buy them all and you'll have a HUGE coordinating set of products. Each grab bag also contains three great sets of items. Those are the only hints I'm giving!

And while you're over picking up the great grab bags, check out the rest of my store. Everything is on sale 50% off this weekend. That means if you missed my element sale yesterday, you'll still be able to get those great new ribbon wrapped frames for just a $1.00! They're a can't miss item. Check out my store at TWD.

And by special request I've just added the ribbons from the frame pack as a separate set.
You can grab them at KKD. They're on sale too!

Rainbow Star FREEBIE, New kit, layout to share

I have the most amazing CT. They not only do the cutest layouts but they also act as my muses. They are always ready to supply ideas when I need them. Here's the latest result of an idea sparked by my CT: Beyond the Rainbow.

Here's a look at the kit...

Included in the kit are both light and dark backgrounds making it two kits in one. You get 12 background papers, 6 balloons, 2 frames, 3 ribbons, 2 rosettes, 4 glitter stickers, 3 titles, 3 word arts, 1 glittler splat, 4 swirl stickers, 1 glittered cardboard, 2 pieces of fabric, and 2 slides.

Before I get to the freebie with coordinates with the kit, I want to share this layout. This is done by a member of Tina's CT, using my Backyard Buganza Kit. Isn't this so cute and creative?

Today's freebie is made with papers from the Beyond the Rainbow Kit. You get 10 stars- 5 rainbow and 5 graph. They have been lightly glittered. Here's a look at the stars...

FREEBIE, Coupon, Grab Bag, Layout to Share

Wow, judging from my title today I've got a lot to cover :) Today I want to share a freebie, a coupon, a reminder about the grab bag, and share a great CT layout with you.

I'm going to start with the layout. This layout is by Laura, one of my newest CT members. She used Beach Blanket Blues to create this layout. I love how she used the shell elements from the kit.

I know there's a little trepidation when you buy a grab bag. Is it just a couple of items? Is it just old stuff repackaged? Well, I want to tell you that this is full of never before released items. You get 39 individual files in this grab bag including papers, elements, doodles, frames, and more. The only other hint I'm going to give that it's hot pink and funky. I really think you're going to love it. You can pick it up here for just $2.00.

Next, on my list is to mention my coupon. I'm running a coupon code for DST folks and my blog readers. It's a $5.00 off coupon when you spend $10.00 or more at my store. It's good now through labor day. The code is backtoschool. You can use it on all my goodies at Karla's Kaleidoscope Designs.

Finally, I want to share a fun quickpage I put together using a background from my grungy graphs paper set.

Here's a preview picture of the quickpage.

Special Thanks to the following people for items used in the creation of this freebie: Brenda Miller, Shalae Tippets, Erica Hite, Banner Woman, Acmdesignz, Stacy Carlson, Lisa Corthell, Shannon Fahrnbach, Monica Larsen,
and Teriann Hanks.

You can download the freebie here.

I love your feedback, so if you download the quickpage I'd love to hear from you.

Grab Bag now on Sale plus news about our digi friends

It's been an amazing summer for me and for several of our digi friends. In just a couple of short months I went from just a CT member at TWD to part of the design team. Then I finally mastered zen cart installation, (Big cheer for me!!!) and I finally opened the digi store of my dreams. During this same time frame two of my digi friends who have participated in my challenges and/or who have been part of my CT have gone on to bigger and better things too!

Lisa of Sassy Scraps by Lisa, who was one of my original CT members is now selling at two stores! She's selling at Make It Scrappy and DigiScrapWarehouse. You have to stop by her stores and check out her great designs. I picked up her commercial use frames, and I have to say they are amazing! I absolutely love them. They're part of my new Dotted Cardboard Frames Set that was just released last night.

Here's a picture of her latest release, Lazy Summer. Aren't the colors amazing?

Then there's Babette, who has participated in both my blog grab bag challenges. She does the most amazing layouts, and I'm always jealous when I see them :) She is designing too! She is now selling for Just for the Scrap of It. She has some great designs and has her first grab bag for sale at $2.00. I got a little insider info on this one, and it's not to be missed.

I finally finished my own $2.00 grab bag. It went up at KKD this morning. It's fun and funky. I know you're going to love it. It's sold exclusively at KKD so check it out here.

While you're there you'll want to check out my new Dotted Cardboard Frames. I used Lisa's great frame as a base. You get 12 fun frames, including a double frame and a triple frame. Take a look! A can't miss purchase for just $2.00.

So check out four great stores during your digi shopping trips this week...

Happy Birthday, Mom! And a FREEBIE

Today's my mom's birthday. She turns 64 today. It's hard to believe. I still think of my parents as the ages they were when I was a kid. I need to stop that because now I'm the age they were when I was a kid :) My parents are a young mid-60s. They are very active; they exercise; and they eat healthy. I'm very lucky to have such great parents. My mom is such a good friend of mine and an awesome grandma. Gianni is very lucky little boy. He is definitely the center of Mom's universe these days. I hope there are more grandkids in her future, so she can share that love with some other little ones.

In honor of my mom's birthday, I'm giving away a quickpage from my new set. It is available now at Tina Williams and Friends for 50% off, just $3.00 for the next 5 days. It's a set of 10 quickpages with some of my favorite Bible verses. The freebie has mom's favorite verses from Psalm 121. It's so fitting. She loves the Lord and His creation, so there's really no surprise that this is her favorite.
