Holiday Sale and New Freebies!

It just goes to show you how busy the holidays are. I can't believe I haven't made a blog post since the end of November! December sure is flying. The weather has been so yucky in the NE that I've done most of my Christmas shopping online. I have just a few more things to get. I sure hope they all arrive on time.

Gianni is really getting into Christmas this year. If you ask him what he wants, he'll tell you a truck and a crane. Thank goodness I finally found a crane! I don't think I'd hear the end of it otherwise. I'm still hoping to get him a kitchen set, but the one I want is out of stock until the 17th.

Christmas Cheer Freebie and My Amazing CT

Today I have a freebie for you made by one of my CT members Linda F. I like to call her the queen of extractions because she has so many amazing effects in her layouts. Her favorite subject these days is her grandson, and he makes for a great layout everytime. I just wish I could get some great shots of Gianni so I could scraplift some of Linda's ideas!

Here's a layout she did using the freebie she made. Isn't he cute! He's got that face you just want to squeeze.




The freebie is two frames...one with the striped bow like in the layout and one with a red bow. Linda used the ribbons, wreath, and frame from my latest kit Christmas Cheer.

She added lights from her own tree. See what I mean about the queen of extraction? Then she transformed the wreath it looks like it's actually balancing on the frame. I love it! Linda has graciously said I could share this great frame with all of you. You can download both frames here.

Happy Thanksgiving, Sale Reminder, and a Freebie!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I'm taking a break from making my Black Friday list. There's no real must haves on it, so I'm starting to wonder why we're getting up at 4:00 AM to go shopping. Seems silly doesn't it? I wanted to get Gianni a kitchen set that I saw in the Sears catalog...they'll email me when it becomes available. They have it at Walmart too, but only free shipping from site to store. Great if I had a way to get it home! Not sure what I'll do now.

Gearing up for Black Friday + a Freebie

I love the holiday season: family gatherings, the hustle and bustle of shopping and sales, making and buying gifts, decorating the house, baking cookies, and so much more. I love it all! This year we're going to my parents' home. It will be pretty quite, as my sister and BIL are going to his parents' house this year. So it's just Mom and Dad, Grandma, John, Gianni, and me.

We be stuffing our faces with my Mom's delicious dishes. She's a great cook. I could never make a spread quite as good as hers. My contribution is an allergen free pie for my little guy. He's allergic to dairy and eggs, so we had to find an acceptable substitute. I ended making a pumpkin pie and a chocolate pie last weekend as a trial run. Today I tweeked the chocolate recipe a bit. I'm crossing my fingers it will set up as well as it did last time. I wasn't able to find a single non-dairy whipped topping here in the middle of nowhere, so Gianni will actually have a bit of decorator frosting on his pie to make it look as much like the rest of the family's as possible. The pie is in the fridge cooling now.
