Denim and Dirt: Denim Frames Released...Last Chance to submit Grab Bag Entries

Well, I was able to finish my denim frames today. Gianni and I also went to my mom's for my grandmother's 89th birthday! I can't believe she's 89. I kind of have us all frozen at a certain age.

Here's a preview of the frame set.

It includes 11 frames. It has filmstrips, polaroids, and cluster frames. Not all of them are embellished. They coordinate with the Denim and Dirt Kit, but can be used in any layout. They're available now on my design page for $.99. Click here to visit my design page for all my element sets and kits.

One last reminder for anyone planning on submitting a grab bag entry. The challenge ends tomorrow. I will be picking my winners tomorrow evening. Check back here for the winners!

Denim and Dirt Add-on Freebie

I was going to work on a 40th anniversary album this weekend, but I haven't had much luck finding a great kit to work with yet. If anyone knows of one, please leave me the link in the comment section. I could use all the help I can get. Thankfully the anniversary is in June, so I'm not pressed for time yet!

Since I couldn't find a kit to use, I decided to work on another Denim and Dirt add-on. I'm working on a set of denim frames and slides. It will include filmstrip slides, polaroid frames, and cluster frames. Today's freebie is one of the cluster frames. I hope to have the set done soon.

Here's a preview. Click here to download.

Girl Patch Freebie....Grab Bag Challenge Update

I'm really enjoying the last day of my vacation. I'm glad they added on an extra day because of surplus snow days. The weather is beautiful. Gianni and I just came inside from blowing bubbles. He was really cute. I'll try to post a pic later. He chased the bubbles all over the yard. I'm not sure yet if I caught any bubbles in the pictures or not. That's a hard one to capture, especially when you're the bubble blower and the photographer!

The idea for my next kit came to me yesterday when I was trying to get Gianni to sleep. I'm not sure why but inspiration hit me. I've decided my next kit is going to be Denim and Diamonds. Today's freebie is a result of this mornings design time. I'm working on a set of girl patches similar to the boy version for last week.

Here's a preview of the freebie.

Since I'm getting such great entries for the grab bag challenge, I'm working an exclusive Denim and Dirt add-on that will be given to each person who submits an entry. So please keep them coming! Here are the latest submissions.

Zipper Frame Freebie and more Challenge Layouts

It looks like 4shared is back up and running now. I bet that had a lot of very unhappy folks out there yesterday. That's what nice about having a hubbie with his own web design business, we have our own server. It gives me options of where to post things.

I can't tell you how thrilled I am to be getting such great entries for the grab bag challenge. I have enjoyed them all. I definitely have my work cut out for me come the 30th. I'm thinking I may have to do something special for everyone that enters.

Here's the latest round of submissions. Aren't they great?

It puts me in a giving mood! Here's another freebie from the Denim and Dirt Kit. It's a zipper frame. I have to say this was inspired by BeagleSnoopy's layout she sent me using my zipper freebies. Thanks again for that inspiration!

Here's a preview of the freebie. You can download it here.

New Girl Frame Freebie!

Looks like 4shared is down for some reason, so at the end of this post I'm going to give you direct links to the four latest freebies. Hopefully 4shared will be up and running again soon...

I had such wonderful response to my boy word art frames I decided to do a girl version. I'm not a girly girl by any stretch of the imagination and I'm a mom of a nearly 2 year old little boy, so it's good to stretch my creative bounds a little bit and do some girl items now and then. I hope you like them. The freebie is the Beautiful frame shown below. The entire set is available for purchase on my design page.

I've gotten two entries so far for my grab bag challenge. Thanks so much! I'm looking forward to many more. I know it's going to be a tough decision. Keep up the great work!

Denim and Dirt Grab Bag Mini-kit and Challenge!

John got Zencart installed last night (this morning really..about 3 AM) after work. Now he just has to show me how to use it. I'm a pretty quick study, but I looked at it this morning and realized I need help! But we're making progress. It will be nice to have the designs in one place where folks can purchase them in one step.

Today's freebie is a mini-kit of items from Denim and Dirt. I'm also launching my first layout challenge. Use part or all of the items in the mini-kit to create a layout. I will pick my three favorites, and the winners will receive the entire Denim and Dirt kit.

Here's a preview of how the kit is shaping up. I still have some things to tweek, but it should be done soon. Probably about the same time we have the new shopping cart up and running.

I am so looking forward to seeing layouts done with items in this kit. Please don't hesitate to send me links to your layouts! I'd love to see some things you've done with recent freebies. It really is a joy to design them and share them with you.

Okay, here's the info on the challenge. Click here to download the mini-kit needed for the challenge. I'm hoping to here from lots of you! Don't forget to leave some love!

On a roll...and new frame freebie

I am having such a blast making my new kit. It's tentatively called Denim and Dirt. What do you think? I like it, but I'd love to hear what others think. So far I've finished the papers, completed the patches, made frames, and started some filmstip negatives and tags. I wish I had time off more often I might me able to design more kits!

I'm now offering all the patches for $.99. There are 22 patches in all (14 different versions). I'm still waiting on my computer guru (a.k.a hubbie) to help me set up my zencart. I'll have to keep nagging him. You can buy the patches through a buy it now button on my design page. Click the link on the left or here to go to the purchase page.

Today's freebie is part of the frame set I'm making to go in the kit. I will probably be offering the frames separately and as part of the total kit. I should have them up later in the week, so keep your eyes out for them too. You are getting the All smiles frame as a freebie. Thanks to Atomic Cupcake for the rust action.

Click here to download. I hope you like the frame as much as I do. Leave a little love if you choose to download the frame!

New Boy Patch Freebie

Thanks everyone for you wonderful feedback on the boy ribbon freebie from this weekend. They were so much fun to make. Since I had such a blast doing those, I decide I'd start to make a boy kit. Today's freebie is a result of today's designing. I made several patches and got a great start on some papers for the kit. I couldn't wait to share part of it with you, so I'm giving away three of the patches. They're denim patches with embroidered boy sayings. A big thanks goes out to Atomic Cupcake for her amazing actions.

I also wanted to share with you a layout I received from BeagleSnoopy. She used my zippers in a layout. I just love how she layered so many great elements together. Click here to see credits for this layout. Thanks to BeagleSnoopy for sharing her layout!

Okay, time for the freebie. Please let me know what you think!

Boy Ribbon Freebie

Happy weekend all! I'm officially on spring break for the week. We're not heading anywhere warm but it's good to be on break just the same. DH hasn't been working at the company long enough to qualify for paid vacation. Personally, it's nice just to be home. Besides as I look around I know there's more than enough to keep me busy.

Today I have a twisted ribbon freebie for you with boy sayings. I hope you like them. They're made with Monica Larsen's amazing Photoshop action. These were really fun to make. Hopefully I'll have time to use some of them this week.

Layouts and Frames Freebie

Well, this week seems to be going slow. It's no surprise since next week is Spring Break. Of course this week is going to drag! And that's with me taking a sick day yesterday. I swear our elementary school is just a germ factory these days. That's what happens when the kids go so long without a break.

We had a great Easter despite my nasty cold. We visited the IL's on Saturday night and went to church and dinner at my parent's house on Sunday. Sometimes I wonder how my husband and BIL made it to adulthood. I swear my MIL is just clueless. She knows that Gianni has food allergies (dairy and eggs) but she still gets him chocoloates and get this jellybeans. I would never give my toddler jellybeans. Then she tops the whole thing off with a ceramic egg! Needless to say Gianni's Easter basket from my parents went over better. I guess you can say they get him a lot better since they see him every week where MIL sees him less than once a month. I know she tries, but come on! Jelly beans???? Oh well, there's always next year.

I was able to get a few layouts done this weekend. One of Gianni at the park and one I absolutely love of him and his "pet rock". I did it like a comic book. It was really fun.

This is made with Misty Cato's On the Go kit.

Credits for both layouts can be found here

Now on to the freebie. I've been working on some small metal frames. They're kind of like charm frames. I did them in several different metals. Some with ribbons. Some without. I'm not sure how I'm going to use them yet. If you have any great ideals let me know! Oh right, you also get wires too.

Good Friday Activities

Well, we've been up since 6:15. John is working first shift hours today, because it is technically a holiday at the plant. He gets paid triple time for going in today. I wish I could get that when I'm working! So far, and it's only 10:30, Gianni and I have attempted to take Easter pictures, make a bunny handprint picture, and colored Easter Eggs. The photo shoot was an absolute disaster. I should know better than to try and take pictures without John. He is the kid wrangler when we do "professional" photo shoots. He gets Gianni to smile and I try to get the picture with a camera with a slow reaction time. I so want I better high end camera...sigh. So needless to say, I didn't get any good pics to make Easter cards. Here's what I ended up with for card possibilities...

and

I so wanted pics of him in is Easter suit, but I may have to go with the pics of him coloring eggs. Let me know what you think. I'd be interested in some objective opinions. The card is made with recent blog freebies. The felt elements are from Anieska's blog. The paper is by Melany Violette.

I also managed to finish my zipper layout with Gianni practicing zipping his coat. Still no zipper book made. Maybe sometime this weekend. :) The red paper is by Roseli Padoveza, Word Art by Tina Chambers, Stitches by Lisa Carter, striped paper and zippers by me, fabric action by Atomic Cupcake.

The layout has the zippers that are a recent freebie of mine. Scroll down for the zippers. Here's a layout that Awaiting did with my zippers. She recolored them. I recolored them in my layout too. Didn't she do a great job? It's fun to see what someone has done with my freebies.

Don't forget to scroll down for the freebies!
